What Is This All About?

Reading books, talking with contractors and scouring the internet can all be helpful steps toward achieving the home design you want. But at some point, it just becomes information overload. It's hard to discern which choices to make, what direction to take or what action to make in order to move forward.

This remodeling and home development coaching program is for homeowners like you who want individualized attention to help answer your home remodeling and design questions.

What's "Home Development"?
'Home development' is a phrase I coined that's meant to put a name on what it means to get your home to the point where you want it to be, whether you're designing a new home or remodeling the one you have. It's the "effort" that comprises the planning, design, shopping, choosing and decision-making that gets you to your objectives.

Maybe you need help choosing specific products or a service you need, or don't know where to look for them. Perhaps you're just overwhelmed and need some direct help getting started navigating through the home improvement process. Or maybe it would be helpful to get another opinion, a "soundboard" of sorts, to bounce your ideas off of.

Whatever your dilemma or roadblock the good news is that it's not as hard or as unattainable as you might think. It sometimes just takes someone else to give you a little guidance on where to go and what to do next.

That's what I can do for you with this program.

Who Is It For?

I created this consultation service for homeowners who want help getting their home plans and dreams from "Point A to Point B", whatever those goals involve.

Here are some typical examples of what this might look like:

  • You want to make a change to your home or you're planning a new home entirely but you're not sure where to start or how to get there.
  • You have specific ideas about the kinds of products you like but you can't decide what you should choose.
  • You're completely overwhelmed with all the information that's out there on how to improve your home and need something of a "compass" to get you pointed in the right direction.
  • You know you'll be working with professionals like contractors and designers but you'd just like an "outside" opinion on things from someone who's not tied into the process or stands to benefit from whatever decisions you make.
  • Guides, books and internet photo sites aren't personalized enough -- they don't address your specific needs, scenario or questions.

If any of these scenarios resonate with you then you're someone who can benefit from this kind of service.

But before we go any further, let me ask you a question about the status of your home development journey:

"Where do you stand right now with regard to getting your home the way you really want it to be?"

If you're not where you want to be, don't know what step to take next or can't decide what products to choose, this type of coaching can give you the help you need to keep moving forward.

Finding the time to try and find the answers to your questions is tough enough. What you need is someone who can help you get the answers and information you're looking for, without spending countless hours searching (or worse, doing nothing at all).

How Does It Work & What Does It Cover?

With this program you'll get one-on-one personalized coaching in a question-and-answer format. It operates using email.

Because of the variable nature of the questions and issues that arise I operate this program on a per-question basis rather than on an hourly rate. One session comprises three questions or issues that you need help with.

You can send me your questions one per day or send them all at the same time. I'll provide one answer per day.

To make it most beneficial for you I recommend you think about what issues you need the most help with and what will move the process forward for you.

The fee for this service is $75.00. Use the contact form at the bottom of this page to notify me that you'd like to purchase the coaching. I will reply and send you an invoice by email. You can pay with a credit card or by PayPal, whichever is convenient.

  • It's Personalized - This is about your specific situation and the help that you need. It's not abstract or general recommendations in any sense. It's about what you want to talk about and the help and advice that will impact your specific home development needs, eliminate any roadblocks or simply off-load some of your workload.
  • It's Specific - If you want to know whether there are any apron-front, low divide, stainless steel sinks on the market, where to find them and whether they're any good, you get to ask the question. If you want advice on whether an 8 foot or 10 foot kitchen island might work best in your kitchen, I'll give you my honest opinion along with my substantiation as to why.

That said, it's important to have some terms that will help us understand the guidelines of this process:

  1. Weekends and holidays are considered off-days. We all have plenty to do otherwise and we'll both be better off by taking a few days to focus on the other aspects of our lives.
  2. If there's a question that I can't sufficiently answer or find the right resource to resolve it, I'll let you ask another in it's place. But keep this in mind -- I'll do whatever I can to help you out. That's my one and only focus with this program -- to help homeowners reach their objectives.
  3. I'll answer your questions Monday through Thursday, but you can send them in at any time. I'll reply to one question per day. That provides me with sufficient time to accommodate any research that's necessary along with time to address other clients.
  4. Here's my only real disclaimer: I'm not an interior designer. If your questions have to do with how to decorate or develop a particular design theme, I'm not your guy. Nor can I respond to requests to actually design a room, an addition or a revamped kitchen for you. That said however, I can help you think through your design intentions and make recommendations on product choices and design ideas to help flesh out any design notions you might have. But I won't start with a clean sheet of paper and design a new kitchen or home for you. That's not my area of expertise.

Here is just a small sampling of some of the things we can cover:

  • Getting started and/or navigating through the remodeling process
  • Where to find a specific type of product
  • Ideas for solutions to particular design and remodeling questions
  • Where to find sources of products or services in your area
  • How to find the right contractor
  • Whether to hire professionals like an interior designer or an architect
  • Planning for a remodel or a new home
  • How to survive a remodel
  • Need help choosing a specific product or design feature
  • Want a 'soundboard' to validate design or product ideas you might have
  • Figuring out "what's the best…..?" for a given set of choices
  • Laying out the steps needed to get your home "…from Point A to Point B"

These are just a sampling of the kinds of questions and issues people have when designing their home. There's no established curriculum of what we cover here. We'll cover what you want to cover. This is your opportunity to go a step beyond trying to find answers and information on the internet that "fit" your specific needs. It allows you to get one-on-one guidance.

How Can It Help?

This consultation service can help you shortcut the time it takes to get to your next step in your home design or remodel, whatever that might be. It can leverage your time by letting someone else (me in this case) do some of the homework for you. It can also get you closer to your objectives, faster, by showing you what steps you should take to get there.

In a nutshell, this service can provide direct responses to your particular, specific questions, saving you time and effort toward getting your home the way you want it.

How To Participate

My name is Rob Levesque, founder and publisher of HomeStyleChoices.com. If you're initially reluctant to turn over your money and place your trust in me for a service like this, I get it. We don't know each other and that's a natural barrier to doing business together.

But let me share for a moment one of the reasons for offering this service. I know what it's like to want that new kitchen or addition yet face the challenge of trying to figure out how to make it happen. I went through that process, learned a lot along the way, and made it my business to help others achieve their goals too. This website is testament to that point.

For the last 7 years I've been helping other homeowners take those next steps toward making their home the way they want it to be. Whether it's the free information available here on the website or through the direct questions I've received and answered. That's truly the part about my business that gives me the most satisfaction - helping people make positive transformations with their home. That's because in the end, I know how much satisfaction my family and I get from the changes we made, changes we dreamed about and toiled over for a long time before they happened.

If you're at a point where you're stuck, not sure what step to take next or simply could use some help from an unbiased perspective, I can help. I know how much time it takes to go plan and live through a remodel or try and figure out which products to choose for a new design. Leverage your own valuable time by letting me do some of the legwork for you.

My Guarantee

To make this decision as easy as possible for you, here's my guarantee.

If for any reason you feel I haven't helped you with this service in the way you expected, I'll gladly refund your payment, no questions asked. I know I'll be out the amount of time I spent providing you with answers but I don't want anyone feeling that they weren't well served by the information I provided, that it didn't help them get the answers they were looking for and get closer to their goals.

And if the suggestion of asking for a refund sounds embarrassing, it shouldn't. Just send me an email and say, "Thanks for your time answering my questions but I don't really feel like I got what I was looking for and I'd be grateful if you could refund my payment."

I don't think I can make it any easier than that.

Ready to go? Use the form below and I'll reply with the email address where you can contact me and the invoice for payment. You can send your questions to that email address.

Curious but still not 100% sure? Just contact me and I'll do my best to address your questions about the process, how it works and if it might benefit you. You can contact me using the same form below.
